Two Sexual Assaults over the Weekend
Over the long weekend, we found out about two sexual assault incidents. Another forcible fondling at GW and a sexual assault near Greenbelt Metro.

On Saturday, May 29, 2010, GWPD received a report that a female GW employee was
allegedly approached by a man who fondled her. She pushed him away and left the
area. According to the victim, this incident occurred at approximately 3:12 a.m.
in the 600 block of 22nd street on the south side of the street.The suspect was described by the victim as an Asian male, medium complexion,
27-28 years old, 5’9″-5’10” tall, weighing 130-140 lbs. with black hair parted
down the middle, wearing a blue shirt and tan pants. The suspect was described
as having an accent.Please remember to be aware or your surroundings, and call in suspicious
individuals and suspicious behavior immediately to GWPD.GWPD requests that members of the GW community immediately report crimes in
progress to GWPD.Please share the information contained in this crime alert with other people on

Sexual assault near Metro station
A teenager was sexually assaulted on a footpath near the Greenbelt Metro station Friday evening, transit police said Saturday.
The girl was leaving the station when a man tried to talk to her, followed her on the path leading to a neighborhood and attacked her, Metro police said.
The police described her attacker as a heavy-set man in his 30s with dark curly hair, and dark, reddish complexion. He wore a blue shirt, bluejeans and had a tattoo of a snake on his left arm.
