Meet a CASS Rockstar: Zosia Sztykowski
You probably already know Zosia Sztykowski if you’ve signed up to volunteer for us, came to this truly rockstar event, or attended the Our Streets, Too protest which she was the primary organizer of. She’s a pretty radical female and CASS is super excited to have her in our crew as the Director of Community Outreach and Events.
In that role, Zosia is your main contact if you wanna partner with us, volunteer for us, work together on amazing projects, have us train you on a variety of topics. Here’s a bit more about her:
I graduated from Tufts University in 2007 with a degree in Political Science. At Tufts, I researched urban areas around the world, and reported on local politics for the school’s daily newspaper. In June 2011, fed up by the sense that issues of street harassment in DC were being ignored by all but a small group of people, I organized a group of women and men to march in an awareness-raising action against it. Ever since then, I’ve been working with CASS to help start conversations about public sexual harassment and to get community members to pay attention to this problem.
Let’s welcome Zosia (what a beautiful name!) to the CASS family in the comments below. To reach anyone at CASS, it’s our first name @collectiveactiondc.org.
