Street Harassment “Makes Me Feel Dirty.”
Location: Duke Street & Holland Lane, Virginia
Time: Daytime (9:30am-3:30pm)
I was walking down the street when a man approached me and said, “Hey, beautiful, can you give me directions to the nearest metro?” I just pointed and said, “That way” and walked away really fast.
It’d be a lot more polite if he referred to me as “Miss” or “Ma’am” before asking for directions. When a man I don’t know comments on my appearance, it makes me feel dirty.
