“I Witnessed a DC Cop Sexually Harassing a Woman.”
Location: 14th & U St. NW
Time: Night (7:30pm-12am)
I had just left Tropicalia and was unlocking my bike when I saw a cop in uniform comment on a woman’s body and striped dress. After she said ‘I’m on the phone to my boyfriend’ he persisted a bit and then joked loudly to the other cop (in uniform) and two male bystanders about how ‘sexy’ she was. After she had passed, I said to him ‘What the fuck is wrong with you!?’ then I rode off.
It shocked me to the point that I thought for a moment that they must not be real cops and were dressed up. I wish I’d said more or filmed it. When she gets followed home or bothered on another occasion who can she turn to for help?
